Checklist for Shocco Creek Ranch Clinic May 18th & 19th, 2012

Equipment:

  • ·         Rope Halter (Four knots on nose band) and 14ft Lead
  • ·         Training stick and string
  • ·         Riding boots with a heel (no tennis shoes, flip flops, or footwear other than approved riding boots with be permitted in the arena)
  • ·         Helmet (not required)
  • ·         Bridle with snaffle bit and chin strap (no shank bits), mecate or loop reins, leather reins
  • ·         Well fitting saddle and saddle pad with correctly sized girth

**Please let me know if you need to borrow any equipment, loaners are available**

Supplies for horse:

  • ·         Bring at least 2-3 bales of hay for your horse
  • ·         Grain for your horse
  • ·         Brushes
  • ·         Water buckets and shavings will be provided with stall fee ($10 per night)

Documentation:

  • ·         Photocopy of negative coggins for your horse
  • ·         Bring registration forms if not already mailed in

Info:

  • ·         Check in starts at 2pm on Thursday May 17th.  Please call me and let me know when you plan to arrive before Thursday.  919-414-5233
  • ·         Clinic will start at 9am SHARP on Friday and Saturday mornings and will conclude around 4pm both days.  Be there at least by 8/8:30 to feed and water your horse if you are boarding your horse at my facility.  Feeding will be the responsibility of the owner.
  • ·         We will take about an hour break for lunch each day.  A Sandwich lunch will be available for $5 per day.  It will include a sandwich, chips, drink, and something sweet.  You are welcome to bring more food if you’d like.  We have a refrigerator and microwave.  
  • ·         We will be working in a covered arena, so keep that in mind when you are packing your clothes for the weekend.  It’s a lot cooler under the covered.  Be prepared.
  • ·         Hookups are available for $15 per night.  Please contact Morgan for availability.
